reTweet: Autocorrect
reTweet: Autocorrect
"Autocorrect is like that person who just graduated college and thinks they know everything."
In 2011 the Library of Congress announced that it was going to archive all Tweets. Yup, you read that right. Remember when you were a child and you heard those familiar words “This is going on your permanent record.”? Well it now appears that your 140 characters really are going to be on your permanent record. Sometimes crazy ideas give rise to interesting art. So I decided to see if there was anything worth saving amongst all that tweeting. As it turns out there are clever people saying funny things and I slog through innumerable tweets to find them for you.
Each reTweet shows an actual Tweet accompanied by a little vignette. The cover, made from a piece of a license plate, can be slid from side to side to cover either the Tweet or the vignette. It also can be flipped up to reveal both. Each reTweet is signed by the artist and has a pop tab on the back so it can easily be hung on a wall.
reTweets are the perfect thing for any Twitter addict or any person who can’t go more than a few minutes without reading or writing Tweets.
